What is DC SCORES?

DC SCORES is a nonprofit organization that provides free after school programs and summer camps for over 3,000 youth in Washington, D.C.

DC SCORES creates neighborhood teams that gives kids the confidence and skills to succeed on the playing field, in the classroom, and in life. Our SCORES values of Teamwork, Leadership, and Commitment are emphasized in all our programs.

Who are DC SCORES coaches?

Our coaches are trained youth development professionals, either teachers that work at their sites or trusted local experts.

Who can participate?

DC SCORES offers different programs to meet the needs of boys and girls in first through eighth grades. Most of our programs combine soccer, poetry, and service-learning while others focus only on soccer. Check out our program descriptions for more information.

What is the schedule?

Each site establishes their own weekly schedule, so please see your child’s coach for specific information. Some sites have programming five days per week, some only three. DC SCORES operates during both the fall (September-November) and spring (March-June) seasons. We encourage all students to participate in both seasons over the year.

What if I have more questions?
